ROTORUA BLOW-OUT

A blow-out of considerable dimensions took place last night near Ohinemutu, on the Lake front, on an area o$ some :15yds. across. A previous explosion had taken place at the same spot. Debris was hurled a considerable distance. No one was passing the spot at the time, which is the centre of a bridle track, .
MILL MANAGER KILLED
ROTORUA, Nov. 1
Frederick Charles Allen, a married man, aged about sixty, mill manager for Gammon and Co., Manakau, died this morning when on the way to the King George V Hospital, through injuries he /received when returning from the bush on a locomotive. Deceased was leaning from the cab to ascertain what was obstructing the 'machinery when his head struck on a cattle stop support,

The Supreme Court heard the claim of Ruth Sylvia Rutherford, a minor, and a widow, for increased benefits from the will of her late husband, Bertie Cecil Rutherford. • Plaintiff, who is nineteen years of had been married only nine months when her husband died.
