BRIBERY SENTENCES

Albert B. Fall (a former Secretary of the Interior) was convicted of accepting a bribe of one hundred thousand dollars in connection with oil and land leases, which he denied at the trial. Justice Hitz sentenced him to one year’s imprisonment and imposed fines of one hundred thousand dollars.

Mr Ramsay MacDonald has arrived at Liverpool. In a statement lie said he believed the meeting with Hoover had brought our peoples closer together and improved enormously the mutual understanding.
