ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. CHIUSTCHUIiCH, October 31). Yardings were large at to-day’s Addington live stock sale. Fat cattle.—There was a fair entry of cattle from the North Island, while Southland*and Westland entries were included. Heavy sorts \ were, easier. Mediujpi weights met a good demand., Steers sold: Heavy £23 to £24 2s 6d, prime £l7 10s to £2O ss, medium £ls 15s to £l7 ss, light £l2. 5s to £l3 10s. Cows and heifers .sold: Heavy £ls ,10s to £l7 17s 6d, prime £l2 10s to £ls, medium £9 15s to £l2; light £7 15s to £9 10s. Mutton.—There was a good yarding, and competition was keen prices being a shade firmer. Wethers sold: — Heavy 39s to 495, medium 34s to 38s, light 28s 6d to 336. Shorn wethers sold: Heavy 33s to 35s lOd, medium 27s 6d to 32s 6d, light 25s to 26s 6d. Ewes sold: Heavy :35s to 45s ].od, medium 32s to 34s lOd, light 23s 6d to 31s; shorn ewes, heavy to 27s’ 10d, medium 24s 4d to 26s 6d, light 19s to 2Aa. Store sheep.—There was a much larger yarding, but dragging competition. Shorn ewe hoggets sold to 255; half-bred dry ewes aged 18s 3d; shorn wethers to 25s 4d; wether hoggets in wool to 22s lid, ewes and lambs to 16s Id. :Lambs.—There were 495 forward, and they met a good demand. The average price per lb was about 10d. The best sold 30s to 34s Id, medium 28s to 29s 6d, light 24s lOd to 27s lOd. Pigs.—There was a large yarding of pork, and a medium one of bacon. Prices were easier.' Choppers sold £3 to £7, pork 48s to; 555, heavy 57s 6d to 68s 6d; average per lb 9d. Bacon sold £3 15s to £4:103, heavy £4 15s to £5 6s, average 7ld per lb.
