, A FATALITY. ___ . ! 1, ’ LONDON, October 27. Miss Ivy Warner, living near Maidenhead, reached her twenty-first birthday to-day. Her parents gave a dance in the local Warner Memorial Hall on Saturday in honour of the occasion but as a surprise her parents intended to announce the betrothal of Ivy’s sister, Betty, to Russell King, another resident of Maid enhead. Betty, her fiancee and his mother were walking arm in arm en route to the hall when a motor ca v mounted the pavement and knocked down Betty and Mrs Russell arid both died shortly afterwards in the hospital. Russell King was unhurt. The girl’s father is a well known brick manufacturer who presented the hall to the villagers!
