An Indian mail plane was lost off Spezia. , An Italian destroyer reports having jy.cked up the .Commander’s body, but rio trace of the others, SOME BODIES RECOVERED. (Received this day at 10 a.m.) ROME, October 28. The bodies of Pilot Birt, Engineer Pembroke and Wireless Operator Stone are accounted for. The body of a passenger was also found. It appears the crew climbed on the wings and sent distress signals but were washed off. The ' passengers were drowned in the cabin. The Post Office states the whole of the Inclmn and Egyptian mails are believed to have been lost with the City of Rome. , • - NO FURTHER TRACE. LONDON, Oct. 28. A message from Spezzia states that destroyers, tugs and aeroplanes, after a .strenuous search have returned. Therewas no trace ol any wreckage or other bodies.
