Despite all precautions', morphine and fts by-products circulate throughout the world almost as easily as sugar. The official price of morphine in the United States is £2O for about 21b. but the illicit dealers often obtain £25,000 for the same amount. Great afforts are being made to induce the Commission to press for the direct limitation ot manufacture to strict medical needs.

She made friends with two young women on the way, and thp three stayed at the best hotels at Deauville and Houlgate. They soon ran through the money. On Sunday Beuguot found herself with only a few pounds left and decided to return to Paris and “face the consequences.”
