ROYAL ROMANCE
ITALIAN GROWN PRINCE. AND BELGIAN PRINCESS. (United Press Association.—ByElectrio Telegraph.—Copyright.)’ BRUSSELS, October 23. “My dream has come true,” said the 25'-vear-okl Italian Crown Prince Umberto, after the King of the Belgians had given his consent to his marriage with Princess Marie Jose. The Princess was dressed in white, and, radiantly happy, she awaited her lover in the Reception Room of the Castle Lacken.
A few formal words were spoken, and then the Princess Marie Jose held out her hand for the kiss and for the engagement ring which will one day •make her Queen of Italy.
Meanwhile, in an adjoining room, a Court official wrote out the official notice of the betrothal, which will be formally announced to-night at a dinner in the castle. The betrothal ceremony is intended to be quietly ( formal. The Prince travelled incognito, but the people of Brussels sensed the romance, and then thousands cheered him as he drove to meet his betrothed.
The royal marriage is the 'culmination of a romance of twelve' years ago, when Princess Marie Jose was in Florence, learning Italian, as a school girl. ~ - t , '. - .1: .
