ADDINGTON STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH., October 23. Prices at to-day’s sale of live stock art Addingtidn Were 'generally lower than' they were last week, especially for sheep. Fat Cattle.—There was a full yarding of fat cattle. The quality was good. The market was slightly easier. Heavy steers sold at £23 to £25 2s, .prime £ls 10s to £2l ss, medium £l6 15s to £lB ss, light from £l2. Heavy heifers sold £l6 to £l9 2s fid, prime £l3 15s to £ls ss, medium £l2 os to £l4, plain from £9 15s, Extra heavy cows made ,£l6 to £l7 15s, prime £l3 to' £l4 10s, medium £lO 15s to £l2 15s, plain from £8 ss, unfinished from £6 ss. Store cattle prices were firm. '* Fat Sheep.—There was a large yarding of fat sheep, and ah irregular market, showing in many cases a drop of 4s to 5s per head, and in others selling up to last week’s rates. Best woolly ewes sold to 52s Id, prime heavy to 455, prime to 41s, medium to 345, light and plain to 31s. Heavy shorn ewes sold to 36s Id, prime 325, medium to 28s, light to 245. Woolly ewes, extra prime, sold to 48s 4d, prime heavy to 425, prime to 365, medium ,to 31s, light to 265, plain to 225. Heavy shorn evves sold to 31s, prime to 31s, prime to 28s, medium to 255, light to 225. Best hoggets sold up to 32s lOd, prime to 28s, light from 21s. Store Sheep.—Store sheep were represented by about fifty pens of a mediocre class, mostly ewes with lambs at foot, which met with a fairly dragging sale. Lambs.—There was a larger yarding of spring lambs. Prices were easier throughout. Extra good sold from 33s to 36s Id, prime 29s to 325, good 27s to 28s 6d, medium 24s to 26s fid, lieht from 21s. Pigs.—Fat and store pigs were slightly easier than last week s rates.
