EARTHQUAKE TREMORS. FELT AT WANGANCI. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WANGANUI, October 21. There have been several light earthquake shocks in Wanganui during the past few days, two being accompanied with loud explosions. For some days past, residqnts of Gonville and places nearer the coast have heard a number of fnuffled which seem to be out at sea. SUPREME , COURT. TIMARU, October 22. At the Supreme Court to-day, Martin Joseph Melville, of' Temuka, was .found not guilty on a charge of supplying an instrument for an unlawful purpose. At,the July session the jurydisagreed, and a new trial, was ordered. A verdict of not guilty' was returneddin a case in which Richard Woods, of Pleasant Point, was charged with indecently assaulting a girl aged 15 years.
