Sanitary' dustbins have been distributed with, 'unprecedented celerity. Houses have been built by direct labour, and a saving of £4O on each house effected. Two new schools have been Inhit which will accommodate 1500 children. Woolwich has reduced its infantile mortality rate from 106 per 1000 births to 42 per 1000. Its general death-rate lias decreased from - 14.3 per 1000 to 10.6This being the lowest rate in London.”
