BOXING
BIG ITALIAN BOXER. LONDON FANS AGOG. United Press A.ssociarton—By Electric Telegraph—Cvpyrignt). LONDON, October 19. “ Is the giant Italian a world beater?” This is the query df the newspapers and boxing experts in view of Primo Camera’s recent lightning, victory. Despite his twenty stone, the Italian gets about the ring like a middleweight, with punching power and ringcraft that are amazing in one who has only been boxing, seriously for a year. This is only his fifteenth fight. Most of his bouts have lasted but one or two rounds. The critics agree that Camera has mastered timing, short punches, footwork, and right and left uppercuts in a manner which usually takes at least two years. It is generally agreed that no heavyweight during the last thirty years has had the same potentialities, or the same stage development, and they also agree that the heavyweight title cannot he fought out without considering Camera as a challenger.
H. LECKIE V. T. DONOVAN. NEW PLYMOUTH, October 20. The end came in the eighth found when Leckie was knocked' down for the full count. He rose too late; but he was done m any case. Donovan scaled 8.11, and Leckie 9.0. It was a sterling fight, and was witnessed by a big house. MATCHED AGAIN. WITH YOUNG STRIBLING. LONDON, October 19.
