PARLIAMENT
(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) THE HOUSE. WELLINGTON, October 16. The House of Rerescntatives met. at 2.30 p.m. yesterday. It was decided that the Hawke’s Bay “ Tribune ” in commenting on the proceedings of the Local Bills Committee in relation to the Hawke’s Bay River Bill had committed a breach of privilege, and it was resolved to write informing the editor and publisher accordingly. It was pointed out the breach was a minor one.
The Arms Amendment Bill (Hon. T. M. Wilford) was introduced and read a first time.
Thirty-six speakers participated in the debate on the Railways Statement, Hon. W. B. Taverner replying at 1.30 a.m. to-day. The estimate of £6,658,479 for working railways account was passed. The House rose at 3.45 a.m.
