These murders have lieen similar to the notorious Jack the Ripper crimes that were committed last century in London. In each case the victim has been a woman or a girl, and the instrument that has been usually used is a knife. As no attempts have been made to rob the victims, the police believe that these crimes have been committed by nil insane woman-hater. Since February there have been fifteen attempts, of which seven have been fatal.
