GOOD YEAR IN N.Z. , (By Telegraph—Press Association). AUCKLAND, Oct, 14. The annual conference of tire New. Zealand Stock Exchange Association, opened to-day. Mr J. C. Creagh, of Auckland, the retiring President, who presided, said; that the year, so far as business was, concerned, had been a good one, fromthe sharebroking point of view, and. the turnover in shares and stocks of all; classes, with the exception perhaps of, gold mining, had been very heavy, probably constituting a record for some years past. Not only was it. true, that the Stock Exchange ( had experiencedremarknbly good business, but also, the general trading conditions had improved, and the outlook for the im-. mediate future was very encouraging.

The conference was held in camera. Mr R. Wynn Kirkby, Wellington, was elected President for the ensiling year.
