AMUSEMENTS.

EVERYBODYB PICTURES, A BRITISH PRODUCTION TO-NIGHT. 'Coming to the Princess Theatre tonight is “The Ring,” one of the most exciting and heart-touching pictures ever filmed in Britain. It shows how a young boxer fighting for. the girl he loves, and the fame for which all'fight-4| e?s are inspired, whether they be of the ring or otherwise, wins the way A from the paltry tent of the travelling '"l.show to the glaring lights of the Royal Albert Hall, famous from the WalkerMilligan fight. The wife, he loves, fascinated by the novelty and charm of society, falls under the influence of the champion, who takes her to theatres, night clubs, and motor rides, until finally, when her husband was to fight for the championship, she hoped in her 'own heart, that he would be defeated. How at the climax she begged him to win, and lent him new courage and how a new champion was found, makes this British International picture equal to any previous production of its class. Carl Brisson, who plays the part of the boxer, is ex-champion of the Danish Navy, and, although he had made a , name for himself on : the stage, has never before appeared in pictures. Lilian Hall-Davis is seen as his wife, and the role of the champion is po£

trayecl by lan Hunter. Directed by Alfred Hitchock, the feaftire is to be released by C.A.F. A topical and comedy will also be shown to-night. On Monday and Tuesday next the world’s favourite picture, “ Uncle Tom’s Cabin.”
