i Tliirteen tons of live industrial rabbits, mostly of the chinchilla breed, arrived in the steamer Remuera, which came to Auckland last Monday evening. Lest alarm, should he caused by these stupendous figures, it should be explained that the “ton” referred to is the ton cubic measure. About a dozen rabbits go to the “ton” measure, which is really the cubic measurement of their hutches. On such light yet bulky cargo the freightage is charged by the ton measure, while on small but heavy cargo the ordinary avoirdupois calculation is used. We direct your attention to our special window display of new Christmas goods arriving. Presentation goods suitable for all ages and a small deposit secures any article. Call early at Yarrall’s Novelty Depot and save disappointment.—Advt. We are now opening out our second shipment of summer millinery. The demand for millinery has increased this season considerably—the reason is obvious : Value. Quality and Style. Early insepetion cordially invited.-—Schroder, and Co. —Advt. ■
