BERLIN, 'October 6,
Vast crowds such as the capital has seldom seen, witnessed Dr Streseniann’s funeral. Throughout the night the body remained at the: Reichstag where masses of flowers overflowed into the corridors and lobbies. In the morning a special service in the Reichstag was attended by the family, Hindeiiburg and diplomatic representatives. Herr Muller delivered the memorial address. He was obviously labouring under difficulties, having barely recovered from a serious illness. Ho declared the whole world was mourning one of its best sons.
The body was carried on the shoulders of foreign officials to an open coach hearse. The widow and sons followed, then Hindeiiburg and State officials. The procession halted for two minutes at tl>#v.l7«,roign Office where the public ceremony ended, and Hindeiiburg and the diplomatic representatives left the procession.
Among the wreaths were one from King George and one from the > exCrown Prince.
The actual interment was in a suburban cemetery where his parents were buried.
