The Commissioner of Crown Lands for Canterbury, Mr W. Stewart, has been appointed chairman of the recent-ly-constituted Arthur Pass National Park Board. It will be noted that the title, Arthur Pass, and not Arlfchur’s Pass, is used in the Board’s title. Mi Stewart’s first duty will -be to call a meeting of the Board at which officeis will be elected. This meeting will be held on October 22nd in the Old Provincial Council Chambers.
