The Commissioner of Crown Lands for Canterbury, Mr W. Stewart, has been appointed chairman of the recent-ly-constituted Arthur Pass National Park Board. It will be noted that the title, Arthur Pass, and not Arlfchur’s Pass, is used in the Board’s title. Mi Stewart’s first duty will -be to call a meeting of the Board at which officeis will be elected. This meeting will be held on October 22nd in the Old Provincial Council Chambers. The alteration of the name came about on the recommendation of the Geographic Board which has the power to alter place names. Keep your children free from worms —give them Wade’s Worm Figs. Pleasant to take—absolutely effective. —Advt.
