AMUSEMENTS.

EVERYBODYB PICTURES. “MAN, WOMAN .AND WIFE.” ; . TO-NIGHT. A Big Universal Special will be presented at the Princess Theatre to-night entitled“ Man, Woman and Wife!” This .is a very brilliant, acted picture of trinse dramatic situations, and including a " powerful caste of players headed by Norman Kerry as “The Man,” Pauline Starke as “The Woman’/fand Marion;Nixon as “The Wife.” The picture introduces quite a new tght on the old triangle, it is a poigarit human drama of physical coward/ice and.moral bravery. The usual sup--4 ports will also be shown and selections \ Ijy the orchestra. ' . . On Tuesday, John Gilbert and Joan Crawford, with Carmel Myers, Vera Gordon and a cast .of favourites in, “Four Walls.” Having made her debut as a star in “Bose Marie,” Joan Crawffird co-stars in “Four Walls” with that perpetual favourite, great actor, irresistible lover, John Gilbert. What a duo of genius!—Gilbert portrays the role of ‘an underworld youth more realistically than you have ever seen it portrayed before—he is just as convincing as a gangster as he was as a cavalier, as a, dashing Prince, as a soldier, as. a.newspaper reporter in former roles. No characterisation is beyond the unlimited talent of this great screen genius—Mis6 Crawford. as, the gangster’s “girl” is just as fascinating; she responds to Gilbert’s magnetism and ability with a lure and skill all her own which makes it hard to decide which 'one she likes best. After you have seen this picture ask yourself when, if ever, you have seen better acting or a more striking matched couple. ''
