NEW YOlUv, September 10. A metal alloy, called koncl, to be used for hardening steel, has been discovered by engineers of the Westinghouse Company. While the new metal is red-hot, the test hammer bounces off it though ilie hammer would crush steel at the same temperature. Its combination is conalt, nickel and ferrotitanium and it is particularly usdful as a substitute for platinum in radio tubes.
