NEW ZEALANDER ARRESTED
ON RETURN TO ENGLAND. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received this day at 10.30. a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 4. After 17 years in New Zealand, Abraham Black, aged 64, returned to Leeds, Avhere he Avas instantly arrested for non-payment of £3CO arrears for his Avife’s maintenance. He admitted he migrated because he Avas fed up Avith his Avife’s friendship AA’ith other men. He landed in New Zealand penniless and worked for tA\-o years feeding pigs, in return for his keep. He Avas given 15s when lie left the job. He had a long illness.
The Magistrate ordered him. to pay arrears or three months’ gaol.
