FARMS’ ROLL
A NEW DEPARTURE. (By Telegraph—Press Association). PAHIATOA, October 2. Mr J. W. Deem, Director of the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture, Palmerston North, in a lecture here, said that the Department was adopting a farms’ roll. A survey was \being made of a large number of farms. The best were being picked out in each district. The methods were being published in the Department’s Journal. The Department, he said, had already found a farm’ in the Pahiatua district that was amongst the first three in New Zealand. He stressed •the fact. that the number of pounds of butter fat per acre obtained on a farm was always an important factor with the Department., ■■ ■ -,-y ■
