Sir Oswald A Lesley said that the hank rate decision would inevitably increase Die difficulties of unemployment. Under present conditions, lie said, it was within the power of the Bank of England to put two men out of employment for every man that the Government put in employment. That was the situation that the Government had to face. Otherwise they would he confronted with a dilemma which must destroy them.
