Fears that there might be some defaulters were happily not realised, thanks to the committee’s action in deferring a settlement in the Hatry group for a month. It is generally hoped that before October 24th arrangements will have been made which will obviate any defaults. NEGOTIATIONS WITH RUSSIA. LONDON, September 26. M. Davgalevsky and Mr Henderson held two meetings to-day. No announcement was made. They will meet again to-morrow.
