TOKER’S HALL
OPENED LAST EVENING. Last evening, was an eventful one'for the settlers of Arahura when Toker’s Hall was opened. The building is a commodious one and should serve the needs of the settlers for. many years hence. • ■ ■■• To celebrate the opening a grand ball was. held, which was an outstanding success, car loads coming from far and near for the occasion. The decorative scheme .was very artistic and together with the . brilliant lighting and < the multi-coloured , frocks/? of,, the ladies, presented a most colourful picture..: , Mr H. Al. Coulson . opened'the hall and ( in, doing so congratulated the mcnneement on their important task in providing such a fine hall to serve the needs of.the district. He concluded by wishing, the enterprise success-and hoping that all present would enjoy, themselves 'fully. A bounteous supper was dispensed by the ladies’ committee who - desire every credit for their generous work. The music was supplied by the Black . Hand Orchestra which as usual gave of its best. Extras we re freely given and the proceedings from start' to finish ) went with W merry swing..•
