Messrs M. Houston and Co notify entries for their Kokatahi spring sale on Wednesday, 9th October at 1 p.m.
A meeting Of all interested in Westland representation at the next Canterbury Winter Show, will he held at the County Chambers at'2 o’clock on Friday afternoon.
In the mart at noon to-day Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. offered for sale by public auction under instructions from the Registrar of the Supreme Court, an area of 1130 acres of timber land in Upper Kokatahi district, the mortgagors being La mb ton and Co. Ltd. The property was bought by; Mr Thomas Quirk of Gisborne, sawmill proprietor, who was the mortgagee, at the upset price of £IO,OOO. There was no competition.
