S.S. HINEMOA
WITH NON-UNION GREW

WESTPORT, Sept. 23,
The steamer Hi nemo a, which was purchased at Auckland for M, D. W. McKay, arrived at Westport on Saturday, to load bunker coal, prior to proceeding to Bluff. Owing to nonunionists being employed as firemen, the watersidors here liave withheld from handling coal for the vesel.
A meeting of the watersidors to discuss the position takes place to-mor-row morning.
While the vessel has been in port, one of her firemen lias had a rough handling from men on other vessels in port, and again, allegedly by a local resident, resulting in an arrest.
