RIP VAN WINKLE

The Hokitika amateurs who have made such a “hit” with the production of the comic opera “Rip Van Winkle,” are presenting the perfdrmance again in Greymouth to-night by special request. I On Thursday evening the opera will be presented for the last time at the Princess Theatre Hokitika, when the entertainment will be tendered as a benefit for the Hokitika Fire Brigade. Thq production as hero re will be underthe sole direct on of Mrs Staveley, and will include the complete caste, staging and mounting.

The opera is full of bright music and has a humorous vein throughout. The Scury is quite a coherent one, and all the characters are well done. Our amateurs have done themselves the fullest credit as former patrons will agree, and the final opportunity of witnessing so fine a production is sure to be availed of by a very large audience.
