CANADA’S STAND
FOR COMPLETE AUTONOMY. (United PreßS Association. —i’y Electric Telegraph .—Copyright.) OTTAWA, Sept. 20. Conferences both inside and outside the Canadian Cabinet are in progress regarding the attitude to be taken in regard to. the Canadian Delegation going to the Imperial gathering in London on October Bth. The conferences are supposed to be in order to iron out of the existing laws all things that are inconsistent with Dominion equality ol status. t Canada has taken up the position that, as an autonomous country that is conceded to have equality of status, the Parliament within its sphere would have complete authority, and that its enactments shall not be subject to Imperial reservations. At present the British Government can disallow anv Act of the Canadian lniliament. It is understood here that all of the Dominions will ask for the repeal of the Colonial Laws \ alidity Act.
