BAG SNATCHERS.

TWO CYCLISTS ROB A WOMAN. CHRISTCHURCH, Sent. 20. Another case of bag-snatching has been reported, the circumstances showing that new methods have been devised by the perpetrators of those mean and cowardly thefts. A lady was walking along the footpath in Beale.v Avenue fairly early in the evening, though the light was very dim. She saw two cyclists approaching, without lights. When they were riding beside her, one of them spoke and attracted her attention. The other seized the opportunity to grasp her handbag, and the pair then made off at full speed. The bag contained a small sum of money and a few articles of trifling value.
