FLYING BOATS
PLANS FOR FIFTY. (United Press Association. —By Electric "' Telegraph.—Copyright.) LONDON, Sept. 20. Designs have- been submitted to the Air Ministry for fifty passenger metal Hying boats of the pattern of the sup-er-marines which recently circumnavigated Australia. / Each of them will have six engines •with A non-stop range of one thousand miles, and will be able to fly with two engines out of action. The total weight of each will be from 30 to 40 tons.
There will be a kitchen, a dining room, and sleeping accommodation for every passenger. Some of the flying boats are' intended for the lndia-Au;.-tralia service.
