FATHER HANGED. per Frees Association—By Electri< '"Telegraph—Copyright). BUDAPEST, Sept. 18. Declaring that lie had worked long enough and that his family were old enough to fend for themselves, a grocer named Szabo, in the village of Kecskemet, informed them that he was selling his business and retiring. The family then held a council of war, and his youngest daughter, who is a prize debater, liarrangued him on family responsibilities. Szabo retorted that his wife bad become a shrew, and that his children were ungrateful. He had given them the best years of his life. The family thereupon condemned Szabo to death, and they hung him to a beam, in the shop by removing a chair on which he was stood.
A prospective buyer of the business was next morning confronted with the dead man’s body.
When the police arrived, the family justified their act.
