'LONDON, Sept. 17. , The “Guardian’s'’ Athens correspondent says that/after a week ■in the clutches of Tzazas, the so-called gentleman brigand of Greece, six captives, including Senator Hadjikati and his daughter, were released on payment of a random of £1333. Tzazas originally captured' a hundred holiday-makers at Tricala. He made the men turn out their pockets, took their names and .retained the wealthiest, and sent the remainder ■ to Tricala with a demand for a ransom. Thousands of troops and police are now scouring the mount a'ns in search of the gang, but it is feared the trail is lost. 'Pursuit, was hitherto withheld, owing to fears for the captives’ Hives.
