AVIATION IN PHILIPPINES

AMERICAN COMPANY’S PLANS MANILA, August 3.

Four million pesos will be expended 'at. once by the Aviation Corporation of the Philippines for the establishment •>i commercial aviation in the Archipelago. A 6,000,000 pesos reserve 'fund is also available for future needs.

Two million pesos will be expended locally for the establishment of airports, buildings and hangers, and a like sum will be expended in the United States for the purchase of machines.

Three types of ’planes will be used, amphibians, flying boats and land ’planes. Present plans call for the immediate delivery of six amphibians, two flying boats, and twelve land ’planes. The first flight is expected to be made early in November, with complete service in operation by January, 1930.
