Arrangements in connection with the tour of New Zealand by the Canadian athletes are held up as doubt still exists a-s to wfiat men are available. ,The latest advice is to the effect that J. Ball, who was beaten by a foot for the 400 metres title at the Olympic games, has suffered an injury, and that Edwards, the lialfmiler, is taking up a medical course and may not be able to visit New Zealand. Percy Williams, the star sprinter, is certain to make the trip, .but it has yet to be decided who will accompany him.
It is possible that a javelin thrower may be available. His name has not been forwarded, but it is stated that he won the Irish Games event last season. iFinality will not be leached for two or three weeks yet.
