N.Z. LOANS DUE

A NEW POLICY.

(United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright).

LONDON, September 13,

Referring to rumours of New Zealand conversion loan offers, the “Mourning Post’s” city editor says: “ New Zealand’s credit stands high, and the terms now mentioned are in harmony with it. it is believed that the amount outstanding has been reduced, through the operation of the sining funds, to sunder ten millions, We understand that the New Zealand Government will offer the holders of about £9,700,000 worth of four per cent, stock new /five per cent, inscribed stock, dated 1935-1945 to the amount of about five millions at 98 and that the balance, df about £4,700,000, will be repaid by'the N.Z. Government in cash on November Ist. Thus, New Zealand is not seeking any fresh money at present, but, instead she is redeeming practically fifty per cent of the amount outstanding. This conversion offer will doubtless be underwritten. The response should be generous.” , LOAN. UNDERWRITTEN. LONDON, Sept. 13. The New Zealand loan was underwritten on terms as cabled.
