BERLIN, Sept. 11
An alleged dangerous terrorism conspiracy, against the German Republic, by Nationalist fanatics, members of the notorious “Consul” organisation, which' was founded by an exNav t al captain, named Ehrhardt, has been unearthed by the police, who have made over twenty arrests. Those arrested are alleged to be implicated in tlie recent bomb outrages that took place throughout Germany, including 'that at the Reichstag building.
The latest outrage occurred in the Government offices at Luneburg, to which the police followed a motor-car, in which there was a former police captain named Nickels, who is reported to be the leader.
The police searched a house in Hamburg where Nickels visited, there discovering a package containing a bomb that was intended for another outrage. Both the householder and Nickels were arrested.
A search of Nickel’s house revealed compromising documents, resulting in the arrest of an ex-Lieuteriant, named Waeschke; as well as publisher of a small Agrarian nwspaper, “Das Landvolk;” also the editor, Bruno Von Solomon; also a watchmaker named Plenn, who is suspected of being the constructor of infernal machines; and several others. i-
Several arrests haSte also been made in Berlin, including* that of Van Solomon’s brother, Ernest; also Doctor Salinger, with whom he was living; and Hans Tccliow, the brother of one of the murderers of the German Foreign Minister, Herr Ratheneu, who was at the time seirtbnced to five years imprisonmnt as ah accessory to the crime.
The police raided ex-Captain Ehrhardt’s office, which was being managed by former members of the “Consul” Organisation. It is not known whether ex-Captain Ehrhardt is implicated in the conspiracy, which is believed to be the prelude to an extremist rising, which, nevertheless, is doomcl to failure, owing to the Republic being firmly established among the majority of the people.
