The tote showed a decrease on last year’s figures, being £20,035 10s as against. £22,770. After the Durie Hack Handicap in which, there was much interference, an inquiry was held,, but no action was taken. • '*'7, 1
Wanganui Guineas:—(l)’ Eaglet 1. (2) Admiral Drake 2, (4) False Scent 3. Also ran: My Own. Time 1.44 2-5. Won by a length. - •Durie Hack Handicap:—(l) Zarene 1, (5) Pellette 2, (4) Some Acre 3. (Sc/r: Knight like, Ducky;; Bag, Blue Paper, Paiko. Won by a heady third a neck away. Time 1.14 1-5. .
Mnrangai Handicap.:—(2) Cashier 1, (3) .Otairi 2, Blimp. 3. , All started. Cashier got through in the straight and won by a length from Otairi who was two lengths ahead of Blimp. Time 1.49.
Flying Handicap:— (2) Laughing Prince 1. (3) Prince Humphrey 2, (2) Consent 3. Consent bracketed wfth the winner. Ser. Silvermine. Won by two lengths. Time 1,14. ' « 1
WANGANUI SCRATCHING. WANGANUI, Sept. 13. Lady Gay was scratched for Hurdles at 11.30 this morning.
