THOUGHTS FOR THE TIMES
BRITISH LABOUR GOVERNMENT If the Government will continue in this path of energetic administration, getting those things done which' the nation wants doing, and if it will keep off wild schemes of Socialism it will greatly strengthen its position. It will also be acting on constitutional. lines, for its leaders have publicly acknowledged that the nation at the late election gave no mandate for the kind of folly which the wild men demand. The workers of the country would be the first to suffer from the consequences of any surrender to the extremists. —London Daily Mail.
