GREY DISTRICT COMMITTEE! A meeting of the D’strict Committee of the Greymouth Jockey Club was held yesterday afternoon) Present: Messrs T. E. Coates (chair), A. Behan, D. J. Evans, H. F. Doogan, W. H. Parfitt, W. B. Gilbert, A. E. Kilgour and the Secretary, M. J. Eognrty. The programme for the Westland Racing Club’s meeting, to, be held on Boxipg Day, was submitted and approved, The stakes are £950. The Westland Racing Club, Reeftori : Jockey Club and Westport Jockey Club approved of the issuing of a programme for';the season, in book form, and it was - left in tjie hands of the Chairman arid Secretary to interview the other clubs and have , the matter arranged. j The ; New ■ Zealand' Racing Conference forwarded correspondence jwith respect ito'the lease of Rina Mauriga to Mr A)' ;Beban. Mr gave his version of jthe arrangement, and .'intimated that jhe .would,.give a)written statement to the Conference detailing his ; action, j A vpte .of £2O was' passed to the jWestland • Club to -replace • ambulance equipment lost in the fire, and £ls'was ;voted to the Greymouth-Club, to renovate. the ambulance ixx>m and obtain necessary equipment.
