PRISONERS SENTENCED. . (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON', September 6. Prisoners sentenced by Mr Justice, MacGregor wore: Henry JDccles Pearce, breaking entering! and theft (two charges;, two charges of theft of postal packet, two years’ reformative. A plea was made'that accused was infatuated with a woman, but his Honour agreed with the probation officer who did not recommend probation. Cyril George Millar, eight charges of breaking, entering and theft, two years’ imprisonment; Thomas Henry Hale, seven charges, lour, years’ Borstal.
Douglas. Syines, alias Robert Forbes Raverty, breaking and entering by night and theft at Taihape, four years’ imprisonment. Symes is at present serving a term of four years, and His Honour trusted that at the end-of the sentence now given, the,, , authorities would see lie was sent back to Australia. ‘ :
Frank .Clark, ten charges of breaking, entering and theft, and one. of breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime, four years. Clark’s record is one of almost continuous crime. '•
