PALESTINE PROCLAMATION. (United Press Association—By Electric telegraph—Copyright). .JERUSALEM, September 4. The High Commissioner for Palestine has issued a proclamation stating a:l offenders, without distinction of race or. creed, will be brought to trial.. ■ BRITISH FORCES IN ACTION. LONDON, Sept, 4. The Daily Express correspondent at Jerusalem states: British troops were in action at the foot of Mount Tabor, where six hundred Bedouins were reported at dusk on Tuesday to be advancing upon villages at the foot of the mountain, stealing cattle and sheep. British armoured cars and a detachment of “Green Howards’.’ were sent to intercept them. There is a ( fierce battle still raging. This one is far the most serious battle in which the British forces have yet engaged. The latest news is that a mounted column of Arab raiders, which attacked the. Jewish village of Mesgha, and was, making off with a great herd of cattle, has been hemmed in on the Southern shore of the Sea of Galilee, when striving to retire to the Arab town of Beisan. The fighting continues.
