SHOCKING TRAGEDY
AIAN’S AWFUL SUFFERING.

(Received this day at 10.30. a.m.) BRISBANE, Sept. 3.
Terrible suffering was endured by John Robertson, a timber getter, who died in Rockhampton hospital. He was walking behind a team when he was knocked unconscious by the dead limb Of a tree, and! fell under the waggon, the ■ horses apparently stopping immediately. Upon regaining consciousness,- lie found himself pinned by the arm and was unable to get free. Robertson was not found until the ;. . , Aleantime the wound in the arm became • flyfblowitk'and ants attacked a wound in the head. The arm was amputated but the effects of the ordeal’ were too much and he died.
His, wife, t owing to the, illness of her children was unable to visit the husband before his death.
