Three enquiries were held by the stewards. G. T. Mitchell jttnr., driver of Nebraska in the Karamea Handicap, was fined £2 for pulling out when J. Gee, driver of Ans Cline, called to him. Gee was cautioned. W. F. Kerr, driver of Uncle Bert in the Westport Handicap, was fined £2 for pulling out and allowing J.-S. Shaw, driver of Carmel, to gain the inner running. E. S. Groat, driver of Tony Victor in .the Matakitaki Valley Handicap, was fined £2 for careless driving.
