HAGUE CONFERENCE
HAGUE OUTCOME.
ITALY AND FRANCE MAY UNITE
(United Press Association—By Electric Teleg* uph—Copyright).
LONDON, August 30
The Italian press sees, as an outcome of The Hague Conference. a possible 'ltalo-French reapproachment. The Times’ Rome correspondent says that this possibility is also the chief subject of conversation in political circles, where Britain’s Hague attitude is interpreted-as being an intimation to France that the Entente Cordiale is ended. < The correspondent continues: Will France, thus unexpectedly deserted by her former ally, now turn to Italy, which bore with her the brunt of The Hague battle? This is the theme of several leading articles, which admit the reasonableness of an Italo-French understanding, especially as Mr Philip Snowden is evidently determined to support Germany. The “Giornale I)’ltalia” says that Italy wfll never forget the bitter words that were spoken at I lie Hague, nor the “English offensive” against the iAllies.
