The thirtieth annual meeting of the Ko..ataiii Cu-operative Dairy Coy was held in the Public hall on August 26th. iliere oeing a very good attendance of suppliers.

opeairing to the adoption of the report and balance sheet, the Chairman (Air J. Fleming) congratuated the Company on passing through another very successful season. He pointed out the very good F. Q. B. sales the Direlectoirs had made, which enabled the Company 10 pay to its suppliers an aveiage price for the season of almost 1/oi; also a 5% dividend on all paid up shares absorbing £149, and the company was able to carry forward uu Uieir sinking fund a very substantial sum.

The Chairman also referred to the very large increase, of over 24 tons ‘which speaks very well for the future prosperity of tne company, the directors expecting another very large increase for the coming season. The cost of cream cartage works out at-a small amount over id per lb; cost of manufacture ljd which clearly' shows tnat-rthe business of the company is worked on very economical lines. The Chairman Congratulated the Manager Mr J. A. McCallum on the quality of the butter manufactured. The local sales were good and were increasing daily. The chairman informed the meeting that the electric energy would be switched on to the Factory on September Ist, which he lioped would bring about a big saving in fuel costs. Mr J. S. Langford and his staff were to he congratulated on Jie erection of the line so expeditiousj and in carrying out the agreement with the Company.

All the retiring, directors were reelected and also the auditor. A vote of thanks to the chair tert minuted one of the m-'st successful meetings held in the history of the Company.

At a subsequent meeting of the directors Mr Jas. Fleming was unanimously re-elected Chairman, and Mr J. Monk, Treasurer.
