r WELLINGTON, Aug. 30.. Obituary—H. Harrington, aetat 78. He arrived in Christchurch in 1852 with his parents, in the ship “Samarang.” He joined the telegraph service and became assistant superintendent in Christchurch, then superintendent in Napier and later in Wellington, when he retired from service. He was an inspector, but was recalled to act as censor in Wellington for a greater part of the war, since then living in retirement.
