A special ..meeting of the Hokitika Borough Council was held at the Town Clerk’s Office at neon to-day to deal with the audited balance sheet and statement of accounts. Present: His Worship the Mayor ‘(G. A. Perry, Esq.) Messrs T.. W. Duff; •J. King, E. R. Elccck and D. Evans. The Trea- . surer (Mr Coles) presented the audited statemept of accounts, certified correct Ijy the Controller and Auditor-General. The Mayor moved that the statement ; of ' accounts 1 as presented be. received " and settled. Mr. Evans seconded. ..The motion was; carried and the meeting then concluded. ' "
