Yesterday he was fare welled by a large gathering of officers' of all branches,' at which the Postmaster-Ceriera], presented him with'a wallet of’>sovereigns, subscribed alj over the Dominion; and paid a very high tribute‘to Mr ' • Mr J. Robertson (Acting-Secretary) and Mr A. Gibbs (Chief Telegraph En- • gineer) also ,eulogised Mr .Esson, and conveyed to'Tiim the best wishes of the
