WEST COAST RUGBY UNION.
The usual weekly meeting of the West Coast Rugby Union Executive was held last evening at 'Greymouth.
The New Zealand Union advised the following disqualifications: B. Calwell to 30th. June, 1930; W. Clelland, 1£ months from Ist. August, 1929.- \
The Blaketown Club advised that matters were now in order in regard tp their junior team, and explained the reason of their non-appearance against Cobden 1 Club.
A Star senior player was cautioned for questioning the referee’s decision^. Two players were readmitted to the code. . ■ ' • '- • ; •
The Buller-Coast senior match was set down to start at 3 p.m., the cur- , tain raiser, Ross v. Cobden juniors, at 1.00 p.m. on the A. Ground; and Rovers (Granity) v. junior B. reps a,t 1.30 p.m. on B Ground. Mr H. Ryan will referee the RossCobden match and Mr A:. "Warnes the Rovers-Junior B. rep match. ' -The names of four .referees were subfiriitned to \the manager of the Buller team, for his selection of referee for Saturday’s big match. Mr A. White was appointed manager of the West Coast .team, which will assemble at the Park Hotel on Saturday at 2.30 p.m. . It was decided .to select the Ditt- •, man Shield team after next Saturday’s matches. y'b' . ' • A deputation from Hokitika SubUnion requested that Hokitika be given a representative match this season. Following a lengthy discussion the request was held over until a later date. It was decided to'invite the Inangaliua team to play at Greymouth on Saturday, 7 th. September. BULLER TEAM V. COAST. The following players have been selected to play for Buller against . West Coast on August 31 at Greymouth rGraham; Connolly. Jonoa, White; Holder, Qqinn (capt.) ; Grpen; Doherty; J. Stewart, Gardiner, Lockr ey, G. Stuart, Goodall, McCabe, Mullane. Reserves; Forwards, Etheridge and Woodward; backs, Phippp and Rogers. " - •
